Lazy W.M.Stud was started in 1968 by Jo and her father at Pembrooke with a part Quarter Horse stallion named Shorty Hyde.After Jo married Bob they set the stud up on the Broken Bit Station north of Port Macquarie.
The purebred Quarter horse Mr Burn Bar was added to the stud along with mares by Didgeridoo Bar[iiu] Anns Hollywood[imp]and Alfies Cat[imp].The first Appaloosa was bred at this time.A filly named Just Lady T27 sired by Malhuer Tonka[imp]. After purchasing 60acres at Kundabung the stud moved in Feb 1982.
After loosing his off side eye in a breeding accident, Mr Burn Bar was a successful show horse attaining his A.Q.H.A.Champion Award as well as Buckskin and Aust.Stock Horse awards. Sadly he was found dead in his paddock christmas morning 1982.
Chrimson Pageboy[imp] arrived in 1983 and although he was 15years ahead of the times, he left some excellent show horses.The stud ,unhappy with the way the A.Q.H.A was heading, sold Crimson Pageboy and replaced him with 5 month old Zippos Masterpiece,a blanketed colt by Zippo By Choice[imp].This colts future was to be put over Pageboys daughters.
After being broken in, he showed us he could do any event we put him in. He excelled in hacking and dressage as a young horse,then moved to western events,again with talent.Along with broard sashes from Sydney and Brisbane Royals he won Hi Point English Horse and Halter Stallion of Aust and N.S.W. for several years. Now his progeny are proving to be just as successful as show horses.
"Frosty's" mares include Gest A Star by Gest A Saint.She is a full sister to Gest A Honey,Cayuse Stormin Down South a full sister to Cayuse Mighty Outrageous,LWM Some Kinda Showgirl by Ammon Smokin Spirit.This mare has produced some of our best show horses including LWM Quickly Unzipped a multi halter futurity winner,now broken in and for sale.LWM Kinda By Choice a stunning yearling and LWM Ooh La La a palomino weanling filly by Coolest Mystery[imp QH].
